If your service holds either or both of the Home Support 2024 and Supported Living 2023 contracts, you are expected to complete and submit this questionnaire by clicking this link:
The deadline for completion is Friday 2 May 2025
A pdf copy of the questionnaire has been circulated to providers to assist in collecting the data required. It must not be used to submit your answers to us.
The questionnaire will be issued quarterly. A briefing giving details of the questions, information about our approach, and how the data we are asking for will be used, has been circulated to providers. If you don't have a copy, please email marketintelligence@birmingham.gov.uk

The purpose of the questionnaire is to collect information to assist our market shaping and development role, the production of our Market Position Statements, fulfil our Care Act duties around ensuring a quality and sustainable market, to help us direct resources, identify areas of risk, and monitor progress towards our strategic aims. It has been co-produced with health colleagues to reduce duplication in data collection, and has been streamlined so that we are only collecting information that is not available to us from elsewhere e.g. the Capacity Tracker.

This questionnaire is issued quarterly. Please note that the question concerning patient safety incidents has been changed to ask for numbers of the different type of incidents (choking, falls with injury, falls without injury, pressure ulcers developed in the home, unexplained bruising, accident with harm). We have also removed questions about the digital status of the care home, including completion of the Data Security Protection Toolkit (DSPT), implementation of Digital Social Care Records (DSCR) and availability of secure email, as this data is now available from other sources (Capacity Tracker and NHS data).
Completion of the questionnaire is part of the terms of the Care Homes 2023 contract, for contracted providers, but we ask all 天美传媒 care homes to take part in the process to help us meet our responsibilities to all 天美传媒 citizens.
Many thanks to staff at the care homes who completed the previous questionnaires. If this did not include your care home, please ensure that you complete the April and subsequent editions.

3. International Recruitment update (All West Midlands located care providers)
WM-ADASS IR – Supporting Slides have been circulated to providers, which set out details of new immigration rules which came into effect on 9 April 2025, new requirements on providers, and the West Midlands regional partnership approach to supporting care providers to be compliant with UKVI compliance requirements. This includes the requirement to register and use the partnership’s Lifted matching service in order to gain certification that the displaced worker pool has been accessed. 5.REMINDER 天美传媒 City Council (BCC) - Adult Social Care Deep Engagement Partner Programme Awareness Training April and June 2025 (Information for all 天美传媒 Providers)
As part of Adult Social Care Deep Engagement Partner Programme, BCC have partnered with community organisations in 天美传媒 to address health inequalities across different community groups. As part of this, BCC’s partners are all delivering free training sessions on their respective communities, the aim being to improve the understanding and awareness of the needs of the communities among those working in health and social care and any other 天美传媒 that work with communities.
天美传媒 LGBT are delivering the following trainings on the LGBTQ+ community and they were keen that these be promoted to your service.

6.Clouds End - Fee Multi Agency Hoarding Awareness Training - various dates (information for all providers)
Free online training for staff on hoarding is available. The full day sessions (10.00am to 4.00pm) cover understanding hoarding and an overview of the C20 project (module 1), supportive engagement techniques (module 2) and supportive interventions for successful multi agency working (module 3). Training days are on:30 April 2025, 28 May 2025, 30 July 2025, 24 September 2025, 19 November 2025

8. Safeguarding Adults Practitioner Forum - Self-Harm and Safeguarding 22 May 2025 (Information for all care providers working in 天美传媒)

The 天美传媒 Safeguarding Adults Board are holding a frontline workers Practitioner Forum bout Self-Harm and the obstacles front line Practitioners may face in 天美传媒 when working with adults with care and support needs, with a particular focus on prevention and safeguarding. The session will bring together frontline workers from various agencies across 天美传媒. The session will be facilitated by professionals from across the Safeguarding Adults Partnership in 天美传媒. This will be a discussion-based session where practitioners will have an opportunity to discuss good practice, issues and barriers you may face when working with adults who are self-harming.
This face to face event is taking place Thursday 22 May 2025 13:00 - 16:30 at West Midlands Fire Station, 99 Vauxhall Road, 天美传媒, B7 4HW. Places are limited and we ask that you only book if you are committed to attending this face to face session. If you do book and then not able to attend, please cancel the booking on Eventbrite. The BSAB reserve the right to prioritise and cancel bookings. Where organisation have booked several places some of the places may be cancelled to allow other organisation's workers to attend.

The Integrated Commissioning Board (ICB) regret to inform you that they have had to cancel their 天美传媒 and Solihull Nurses and Clinical Leads Network meeting for Nurses working in Social Care scheduled for 15 May 2025, from 2:00pm to 4:30pm.
This decision is due to the current pressures within their team. They thank you for your continued support of the network. The next meeting will be 16 September 2025.
