ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½'s online neighbourhood planning toolkit
ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ City Council was one of the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) neighbourhood planning pilot areas in 2022 to 2023.
The main aim of the pilot was to find ways of enabling less affluent areas to explore and develop a neighbourhood plan for their area, if they decide it is the right approach for them. This is an aim that ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ City Council share with DLUHC.
As part of the pilot, ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ City Council were funded by DLUHC to develop two ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ specific toolkits:
- an internal toolkit for use by ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ City Council planners – to share best practice, resources and know-how to ensure a consistent and positive approach to neighbourhood planning across ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ City Council
- an engaging and practical online toolkit for residents and community groups to find out more about:
- neighbourhood plans and how to develop one in their area
- what support is available
- other communities in ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ who already have a neighbourhood plan or are developing one
The toolkit called 'Local Visions' has been developed by ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Matters in partnership with ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ City Council, Locality, and ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ communities involved in neighbourhood planning.
