We all have times when our mental health isn’t great. There are some free resources that can help, even when you are waiting to see a healthcare professional:

Resources:

  •  - A series of self help guides covering a wide range of topics such as depression, anxiety and stress which offer users the opportunity to find out more about the causes of mental health issues and provide tools to work through feelings and emotions.The self help guides contain verified information and are written by NHS Clinical Psychologists with contributions from people who have used ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½, healthcare and voluntary sector staff. 
  •  - A range of tips, resources and exercises that help people to support their mental health and wellbeing.

  • Erdington Talking Space (501 Slade Road, Erdington, ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ B23 7JG) Drop In anytime over the weekend , either Saturday or Sunday between 5pm – 10pm.
  • Selly Oak Talking Space (11 Bournbrook Road, Selly Oak, B29 7BL) Drop In at anytime on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday between 5pm – 10pm.
  • Northfield Talking Space (888 Bristol Rd S, ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ B31 2PA) Drop In at anytime on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday between 5pm – 10pm.

A space to talk if you’re experiencing emotional distress or experiencing a mental health crisis. Open to all adults (18+) living in ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ and Solihull, whether you are known to Mental Health Services or not.

To book an appointment contact your GP surgery and ask about the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Mental Health and Wellbeing Service Neighbourhood Mental Health Team.

This service will help and support you with your mental health and wellbeing. We offer appointments with our specialist team of mental health care professionals, called the Neighbourhood Mental Health Team via your GP practice. We help people by providing support, advice, and treatment. We can help you with your mental and physical health, as well as helping you resolve issues affecting your wellbeing such as money, work, housing, relationships, trauma, abuse, or addiction.

Available to those aged 18+ experiencing a new or existing mental health concern.

Grounded cafes are a space for you to relax, recover, or recoup in a community-centred café setting which also provides wellbeing workshops, 1:1 support, community events and a safe space to discuss where to get mental health support.
