Central 天美传媒 Framework 2045
Our Future City: Central 天美传媒 Framework 2045 is a bold and exciting vision for 天美传媒 – a 21st century city that continues to evolve to meet the needs of a young and growing population.
The framework provides the route map to help deliver a greener, safer, better connected and more inclusive 天美传媒, promoting opportunities for:
- more jobs
- better public transport options
- higher quality, energy efficient, and affordable new homes
- more green spaces
The framework provides bold proposals that aim to meet the economic, social, and environmental challenges of the next 20 years and beyond. It has been shaped by the citizens, businesses, communities and investors of 天美传媒 since we launched the ‘Shaping Our City Together’ consultation in early 2021.

What is Central 天美传媒?
Central 天美传媒 is a collection of interconnected neighbourhoods, surrounding and including the city centre. These neighbourhoods each have their own offer, character and opportunities to deliver growth for all across our city.

Central areas of 天美传媒
Central 天美传媒 is geographically grouped into five distinct areas:
- City Heart – Bull Ring, Colmore Business District, Snowhill and Steelhouse, Southside, Town, Westside
- Central North – Eastside and Aston Triangle, Gun Quarter, Nechells, Newtown
- Central East – Bordesley, Digbeth, Small Heath
- Central South – Balsall Heath, Edgbaston, Highgate
- Central West – Hockley, Jewellery Quarter, Ladywood, Spring Hill, North Edgbaston
The Central 天美传媒 Framework 2045 is about extending the opportunities of growth and investment within these neighbourhoods.
Delivering the Central 天美传媒 framework
The framework is a 20+ year vision and strategy with most proposals expected to be delivered through the private sector. Therefore, a key objective for the framework will be to attract private finance and investment without the need for funding from the council.
The framework will also be a key part of our Place Based Strategy, that will be instrumental in securing Single Settlement funding from the West Midlands Combined Authority, alongside funding from other public sector partners such as Homes England. We will play a key role as a facilitator and enabler to shape and influence new developments, which will be undertaken through its statutory roles as the local Planning and Highway Authority.
